Salado on the Rocks
Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM (CST)
This one-day event promises to satisfy all of your culinary delights from enjoying Salado signature tastings to enjoying local cuisine and late night shopping. The following Salado stops are: Salado Creek Winery, Alexander’s Distillery, The Range, Salado Wine Seller, The Shed, and Inn on the Creek along with Mill Creek Country Club Bar & Mix Grill. This is a ticketed event for $24.95 per person. You will receive your very own “Salado on the Rocks” glass, a goody bag and your passport for this event. For event details, updated information and ticket information visit us online at www.saladoevents.com or contact the Village of Salado Tourism office at 254-947-8634 or email@example.com.
Here is some information that might help answer any questions you may have:
- Dress Code: My suggestion is that you dress comfortable. Our downtown area is a mile long so you will probably want to wear comfortable shoes if you plan on walking to each location. There is
plenty of parking along the downtown area for those who are driving instead of walking. The Salado
Tourism Department will be providing one 14 passenger trolley just in case assistance is needed
getting to each stop.
- Passports: When you arrive in Salado, your first stop will be the Visitor Center to pick up your goody bag, your "Salado on the Rocks" signature glass, passport and map. It is very important that you pick these things up before the event starts. Your passport will serve as your ticket to get into each location and you will need your glass in order to drink. The Visitor Center will be open from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm on the day of the event, Saturday, February 8. The Salado Visitor Center is located at: 831 North Main Street, Salado, TX. 76571. We are in the log cabin across the street from Subway. If you need directions please call us at 254-947-8634.
- How it Works: After you leave the Visitor Center with your goodies you will be on your own. The passport will have a map that shows the location of each trail stop. You can start and end at any
location you choose. There is no time limit at each location; you stay for as long as you want,
but just remember the event will end at 9:00 pm. You will need to take your "Salado on the Rocks" signature glass to each location as well as your passport. Each location will have a signature drink and a tasty appetizer to serve you. While you are on the trail enjoy some late evening shopping in between trail stops.
