Going 1:1 – Saving Money; Preparing Your Team - Description

Going 1:1 - Choosing Devices, Preparing the Team, and Pursuing Excellence
- In this workshop, participants will explore the variety of instructional issues related to moving to a 1:1 environment. Initially participants will look at strengths and weaknesses of various devices, including issues related to implementing a BYOD program. Note that the focus is on instruction, and not infrastructure.

The second phase will cover how to get an instructional team prepared, focusing on how teachers can embrace the exploratory opportunities, from both personal and professional perspectives, of working in a technology-rich environment.

The final segment of the workshop will look at how teachers in successful 1:1 schools use time in the classroom to develop higher-order thinking activities for students at all levels. A particular focus of this segment will be on the opportunities provided by the Google Apps for Education and assoicated services.  (6 CPDU credits)

(Limit of 3 teachers and/or administrators per district please)

 Continental Breakfast & Lunch included

No cost to teachers and/or administrators from Suburban Cook County schools/districts.
