Running Because We Care

26 Miles for 26 Charities is a program of the LiveSTRONG Austin Marathon and Half Marathon that provides Central Texas non-profits with the opportunity to advance community awareness while raising money to support their mission.
We need your support! This program allows runners to register for the race (either the LiveSTRONG Austin Marathon or Half Marathon) and run on behalf of Cancer Connection, gaining pledges for their personal run and raising money for our non-profit. We would be honored if you decided to run for us!
Remember to also register for the race at http://youraustinmarathon.com and select the "I Just Wanna Run!" button.
Raise $250 to $500 in pledges and we will reimburse 25% of your marathon fee.
Raise $501 to $1,000 in pledges and we will reimburse 50% of your marathon fee.
Raise over $1,000 in pledges and we will reimburse 100% of your marathon fee.
Cancer Connection volunteers will also be hosting a water stop on the marathon course, passing out water and cheering on the thousands of runners. If you would like to help at our water stop, please click here. Thank you!
When & Where
Cancer Connection was founded in 2004 by Karen & Bill Greif as a volunteer-based, non-profit organization whose mission is to "improve the quality of life for cancer patients, cancer survivors, their families and caregivers in the Greater Austin Area".
