Run For Love Yoga & 5k is intended to become an annual event to benefit the ZeroPoint Performance Scholarship for at-risk and dedicated local high school athletes. Founder Armando Hart hopes this scholarship will give athletes the resources needed to maximize performance on the field and in the classroom. Run for Love Yoga & 5K brings the community together through fitness, awareness and generosity in an event that connects mind-body-heart. Our Yoga & 5K event features a time to get centered and clear while bringing awareness to the body, plus the run itself benefits at-risk student athlete scholarships and is meant to focus on community over competition.
After the 5k, the entire community is welcome to gather and celebrate the mind-body-heart accomplishments of the participants. As beneficiary of generosity from others as a low-income student athlete, Armando created the fund to “pay it forward” to the next generation. The recipient of the scholarship will be an athlete that shows the leadership qualities of balance, discipline, integrity and passion.
