TOP CHEF STARS’ JEFFREY MCINNIS & JANINE BOOTH TO SHOWCASE EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PEEK MENU AT POP UP RESTAURANT IN BROOKLYN
Top Chef’s Season 5 Finalist Jeffrey McInnis and Season 11’s Cheftestant Janine Booth will bring their culinary talents to Brooklyn when they host a special pop up dining experience at the soon to be opened bar and restaurant, The Brew Inn this Fall. Seating will take place on November 15th, 16th, 22nd and 23rd at and tickets can be purchased for $65 (plus tax and gratuity)
The dynamic duo, who will be opening their own restaurant Root & Bone in the East Village in early 2014, will showcase their culinary talents when they join forces in the kitchen of the new gastropub, The Brew Inn, located at 924 Manhattan Avenue in Greenpoint. Over the course of four evenings and eight seatings Chef McInnis and Chef Booth will work their magic, whipping up a delightful 9-course menu that will be coupled with beer pairings from some of New York State’s most buzzed about breweries.
The menu for this exclusive pop up will be sneak peak to the flavors and direction of the highly anticipated opening of root & bone. Chef Jeff and Janine will be showcasing upscale dining from the South and favorite comfort foods from their culinary repertoire. Dishes for the first weekend’s pop up will include Shrimp n’ Grits, made with beer-crusted red royal shrimp, Tabasco Spiced Ham with baby onions and stone ground grits, Australian Rack of Lamb with carrot BBQ sauce, minted celery root and parsnip puree and a House-Made Charcuterie Board that features spicy goat “Slim Jim,” smoked duck ham, wild boar Terrine, tasso lamb ham, home-made sausage, pickled vegetables, mustards, marinated cheddar jar and grilled bread.
The two Top Chef stars decided to debut their signature style of cooking at the new corner eatery after receiving an invitation from the head chef of The Brew Inn, Chef Amy Cunningham an old friend and colleague of Jeff’s.
The Brew Inn’s original menu when the craft beer bar and gastropub officially opens to the public on November 14th. The Brew Inn will feature 30 draft beers from craft breweries solely from New York State including Sixpoint, Southampton and Saranac in addition to select wines on tap.

Root & Bone NYC
Root & Bone is a neighborhood restaurant that will celebrate Southern fare and country comforts. Coming soon from “Top Chef” alum, Chefs Jeff McInnis and Janine Booth, the restaurant will be a roots revival of timeless Southern recipes & traditions. Dishes will be soul nurturing and will include farm-fresh ingredients, a true garden-to-table experience. Scheduled to open in January 2014, Root & Bone will be located in Alphabet City at 200 East 3rd Street.
