Rooftop Bee-Keeping at the Fairmont SF
Get a behind the scenes look at the epicurean garden and hives on The Fairmont San Francisco's famed rooftop! After a brief intro to the bees and their history at the Fairmont SF, participants will get suited up to view the hives and learn more about the bees from Marshall's Farm Natural Honey. The group will also sample different honeys, hear from Jesse Friedman of Almanac beer (makers of beer made using Fairmont SF honey), and enjoy a demo by the Fairmont SF's Executive Chef jW Foster, who will use freshly harvested honey from the garden. Everyone will take home a recipe booklet, as well as tips and ideas on how to get started in urban bee-keeping!
Date & Time: Thursday, June 28, at 5:30 p.m.
Location: The Fairmont San Francisco Hotel, 950 Mason Street, San Francisco
