Volunteer Directions & Parking Instructions
The Ronald McDonald House® near Lurie Children’s is on the south side of Grand between Whole Foods Market and Volare Ristorante Italiano. It is a large, 15 story red brick building with a big white Ronald McDonald House sign on the awning. If you need to drop off supplies or passengers, you can park temporarily in front of the House for 30 minutes or less EXCEPT between the hours of 4:00p - 6:30 pm. Be sure to pay for parking on the 5th floor of the RMH before you leave. The entrance to the parking garage is on the east side of Lower Michigan Avenue between Grand Avenue and Illinois.

From Lake Shore Drive:
Exit at Grand Avenue going West

From 90/94:Exit at Ohio Street and turn East Right (South) on Fairbanks right (West) on Grand

IMPORTANT NOTES: You must enter this location on the LOWER level of Michigan Ave., not at the front door of the hotel. Volunteers must go to the 5th floor at the RMH to receive parking ticket validation in order to receive the InterContinental’s special rate of $10. This is for volunteers who park at 505 N Michigan Avenue only (which is on Lower Michigan and within walking distance to the RMH). This special rate is for short-term volunteer parking and does not apply to House Guests. We do not have discounted rates at any other parking lot surrounding the House.
