Description

This training will assist human service professionals in valuing clarification strategies, interactive exercises and ethical decision making models necessary for improved self-monitoring of ethical conduct. This training will also include an afternoon session that will examine the definition of multiculturalism, diversity and the various dimensions of culture by introducing a series of experiential activities designed to help participants’ rethink, discuss and define their professional obligation to cultural competence.

Program Objectives

-Clarify values about professional responsibility

-Examine theoretical basis for sound ethical practice

-Apply learning to case studies and process as a group

-Improve self-monitoring practices

-Encourage ethical and culturally competent conduct in colleagues

-Practice forms of communication which considers cultural differences.
