Rock for Kids Food Truck Social
Wednesday, June 6, 2012 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM (CDT)
Update from my our friends at LevelUp: "Are you ready to Rock for Kids? We are too. This Wednesday at the Rock for Kids Food Truck Social, help out by paying with your phone! When you download the FREE LevelUp App, enter in promocode "rockforkids" to get $5 to spend at La Adelita, Wagyu Wagon, or Duck N' Roll when you pay with LevelUp. For every "rockforkids" code redeemed, LevelUp is donating $5 to Rock for Kids! Download the app on your smartphone! Missed your chance to enter in the promocode? No worries, 15% of all profits each truck receives will be donated to Rock for Kids, so pay with LevelUp anyway. See you there!"
Ready to be a part of Chicago's food truck revolution while simultaneously supporting a very worthy cause? Good news: Rock for Kids is hosting a Food Truck Social!
You want tortas? We'll have 'em. Hot dogs more your thing? They will be there too. How about a juicy Wagyu burger? Maybe a duck roll with Asian slaw? And for dessert, frozen kefir. Done times five.
No need to feel guilty for stuffing your face with goodies either because 15% of sales will go to Rock for Kids so the organization can continue providing quality music education to underserved children of Chicago. We'll also happily take your cash.
There are more exciting things in the works too, so be on the lookout for updates. For now, put this event on your calendar as a MUST DO. And tell your friends!
Note: The lot is in Lincoln Park at the corner of Fremont and Weed. If you've been to Joe's on Weed St, you know how to get there. Nearest Red Line stop: North & Clybourn; buses: North Ave or Halsted. Here's a map link...
For anyone who can't come to the social or those simply with an insatiable hunger for tacos, I've got a special treat. Taquero Fusion has generously made two Tuesdays in June into Tacos for [Rock for] Kids! If you work near Aon (Columbus and Randolph side), mark June 5th and 19th as the dates when you'll make your way into the sunshine to grab some carnitas and a side of arroz con gandules. Plan to break for lunch some time between 11:30-1:30. Visit here to drool over the menu:http://taquerofusion.com/Mobile_Menu.htm
As with the social, 15% of lunch taco sales will go to Rock for Kids so EAT. UP.
