Planet X Productions'
Robot the Rock Opera
What would you pay for free will?
Live at the Bug Theatre
April 27 through May 12
Friday and Saturday nights at 8:00 p.m., plus Thursday, May 3
Set 99 years in the future, Roberta the love-bot struggles with her programming and her role as a servant to mankind in this class war parable of revolution, romance, and robots.
Planet X Productions—the folks who brought you Captain Swift and the Invasion from Dimension X, “Sea of Blood,” and “Beast of Babylon”—are back at it with the Next Pony. The two organizations that brought Trey Parker’s Cannibal! The Musical to the Bug stage in November for multiple sold-out shows, are now bringing us Robot the Rock Opera, by Seth Iniguez Bertoni and Fredd Bowers. This bold work of original musical theater will dazzle the senses as the live rock orchestrations of Fredd Bowers are combined with Meg Bertoni’s vibrant choreography. Robot creates a foreboding but inspiring portrait of the future as a reflection of humanity’s past—and present—of slavery and oppression, and the power of the “human” spirit to overcome tyranny.

Planet X Productions
Planet X Players first began performing at the Bug Theater’s Freak Train in 2003. The five minute format and slightly inebriated audience proved perfect format for sketch comedy frequently blending science fiction and fantasy themes.
The first show produced by Planet X Players was Captain Swift and the Invasion from Dimension X, which ran in April of 2010 at the Bug Theatre in Denver.
Planet X Productions formed in 2011, and has since produced OFM Double Feature: Sea of Blood / Cycle of Tyranny. The neo-kabuki performance group Odam Fei Mud has now been reformed under the name of War Ensemble. We recently co-produced Trey Parker’s Cannibal! The Musical, and performed in Merry F*ing Christmas.
Our 2012 season includes the original productions Beast of Babylon, Robot the Rock Opera, and Captain Swift and the Invasion from Dimension X, all showing at the Bug Theatre. We look forward to seeing you!
