As part of the first Portland Riverfest join with your fellow greater-Portlanders for the first Willamette Species Parade. Come celebrate all the species of the Willamette River in this fun, participant-heavy parade! Participate in pre-parade workshops to make costumes, puppets, masks, human-powered floats and anything else you can think of (materials provided). All are welcome!
Time/date: 12:30PM August 30th
Place: Starting at Waterfront Park near the Hawthorne Bridge.
Route: North in Waterfront Park crossing the Steel Bridge then South along the Eastbank Esplanade to Salmon where we will enjoy music and a celebration with Gallery Homeland.
Cost: It's all FREE! If you don't already have your own fabulous parade get-up, come make something great with us before the 30th.
Workshop details: All workshops are FREE. All materials provided!
All workshops will be held at Gallery Homeland (2505 SE 11th Ave.)
