Every spring, the Snoqualmie Valley Community Network (SVCN) recognizes outstanding volunteers whose actions, over the past year, have helped create a caring, resilient Snoqualmie Valley community.
Community members and organizations nominate volunteers to be recognized and a selection committee from SVCN will review and choose the top 20 for awards. Award recipients are recognized at the Rise & Shine Breakfast event.
Breakfast will be prepared by students from the award-winning culinary arts program from Mount Si High School. Breakfast is free of charge, but please consider donating $5.00 per plate to support the Prevention Scholarship Program honoring graduating seniors who help promote adolescent health and well-being.
The deadline for nominations is May 8, 2013. If you know a volunteer, of any age, who should be recognized, please submit a nomination.
When & Where
The mission of the Snoqualmie Valley Community Network is building collaboration to inspire action that leads to a caring, resilent, Snoqualmie Valley community. The Network, serving the Snoqualmie Valley and Riverview School District areas, is an affiliate of the Department of Health and Human Services. Through the state-wide Community Network system, more than 10,000 volunteers invest their time and energy to improve the lives of community members. The Network also manages a federal Drug Free Communities grant to help engage all sectors of the community in creating a more caring and connected Snoqualmie Valley where residents thrive.
