RIDEtothePROM in Support of Channel View High School and Sandy Relief
Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM (PDT)
Operation PROM helps low-income students attend their Proms by helping thousands of students across the U.S. attend their Prom at little or no cost. After the tragic effects of HURRICANE SANDY, Operation PROM wanted to step in. We have been working to HELP FUND THE ENTIRE PROM FOR THE CHANNEL VIEW HIGH SCHOOL in the Rockaways. This school was hit very hard by Hurricane Sandy and still does not have heat or phone service. Many of the children are still not living in their homes and have lost many of their personal belongings. By providing these well deserving seniors with a Prom, we will be able to put a SMILE on thier faces in the midst of tragedy.
Help us RIDEtothePROM by buying a bike, making a donation, and attending the RIDEtothePROM spin class at Flywheel UWS. By attending the event, we will be able to raise money to help throw the prom along with outfitting the entire senior class and their dates! In addition, we will also be collecting gently used or new dresses, bags, or jewelry at the spin.
For clarification, we will be accepting donations on this page, along with purchasing tickets. Only tickets will guarantee a bike but we are also grateful for any donations! Bikes will also be open seating so if you would like to sit in a certain area please plan to arrive a little earlier.
