Ride to China
Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM (EDT)
Washington, United States
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Join BicycleSPACE and Smithsonian for a ride to the other side of the world! OK, not really to China, but we will be riding to the Smithsonian Folklife Festival. The festival aims to celebrate Chinese and Kenyan culture. Once you're there, you can enjoy Chinese and Kenyan food and drinks, and have the option of watching Beijing Bicycle at the Freer at 2 PM, or staying on the mall for folk performances and crafts. If you stay after the movie, there will be a discussion on African and Asian diaspora groups at 3:45 as well. There's a whole lot of fun stuff for you to do, and we hope you'll kick it off with us on two wheels!
There will be an area to lock your bike but make sure to bring your own lock!
