On Thursday, January 31st, leave your sanity at the door because the Richmond Comedy Coalition brings to you a night of mind melting comedy.
Featuring: MAINSTAGE The RCC Mainstage is a cast of skilled improvisers who's chemistry onstage and playful formats make them an audience favorite in RVA. With one suggestion from the audience they launch into a flurry of scenes that spiral out into a world of bizarre characters and situations.
PLUS: Witness the premier of the RCC's new musical accompanist, Dave Robbins. Dave, a classically trained pianist has formerly played with teams at Improv Asylum in Boston. When he isn’t underscoring weird improvisers’ scenes with jaunty tunes, he’s playing with the Richmond Ballet, officially making him the most sophisticated member of the RCC.
KARATE PRACTICE Kicking ass and taking suggestions, Karate Practice unites on stage to form an eight-fingered fist of improv comedy. Karate Practice uses relationship-based scenes and organic groupwork to tear open a single suggestion, drop kick it through the floor, buy it a cupcake and wish it a pleasant evening.
JOE HAFKEY Joe Hafkey is a comedian hailing from Austin, TX. His absurdly silly, self-deprecating comedy has made him a favorite in the Austin scene. Joe has performed as part of the San Francisco Comedy & Burrito Festival, Hell Yes! Fest, the Out of Bounds Comedy Festival, and was a finalist in the Funniest Person in Austin Contest.
DARE DUSTIN Dustin Correale will go where no RCC member would dare. Submit their own personal challenges and we'll pick one live onstage for Dustin to attempt. He’ll have no idea what he’s about to do and no time to psych himself up for it. GO TO www.rvacomedy.com/dare-dustin to submit your dares.
