Event Details

The Rhode Island Black Heritage Society in partnership with the Newport Jazz Festival is offering two pairs of tickets to the exciting, historic music festival to all RIBHS Members who join before Wendesday, July 23rd. 

To celebrate its 60th Anniversary, the festival has invited some amazing acts, including: Wynton Marsalis, Bobby McFerrin, Trombone Shorty, Dr. John, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and John Zorn.

The Society will be giving away Two Pairs of Tickets, One pair for Friday, August 1st and one for Sunday, August 3rd. To win these tickets all you have to do is purchase a raffle ticket above and you will be automatically entered to win both sets of tickets.

The Rhode Island Black Heritage Society

The Rhode Island Black Heritage Society was founded in 1975 with a mission to preserve three centuries of African American history in the state.  The Society has amassed an invaluable collection of artifacts that documents African Americans' achievements in military service, business, politics, the arts and education.  The Rhode Island Black Heritage Society encourages and promotes the study of African American history by hosting tours, lectures, and exhibits for the general public.
