Matt's Presentation
Discussion, Q&A and Networking

Matt will be discussing how Pitchfork focuses on innovation from the inside out, building and using their own tools to grow into and maintain one of the most influential music review sites worldwide.

Pitchfork is a Chicago-based daily Internet publication devoted to music criticism and commentary, music news, and artist interview. Its focus is on independent music, especially indie rock. However, the range of musical genres covered extends to pop, hip hop, folk, jazz, heavy metal, experimental, and various forms of electronic dance music.

About the Speaker:
Matt Dennewitz is the VP of Technology at Pitchfork. Initially Pitchfork's first full-time developer, he's overseen the technological maturation of both one of the world's most popular and influential music publications and growth of its award-winning engineering team.

Matt also acts as CTO for BeerGraphs, which measures the analytics of beer, and recently launched Saber Archive, a community-driven archive for advanced baseball research.

He lives in Chicago with wife, Melissa, their two cats, and a fridge full of beer.
