Event Details

Marriages are like tattoos—they’re meant to be permanent, they’re painful to dissolve, and they’re not to be rushed into unwisely. Yet it happens all the time. There are over 2 million marriages in America each year—almost 6,000 every day—and most of them have this in common: They’re not really sure what marriage is all about. The “next step,” Dating 2.0, “what you do when you’re in love,” God’s stamp of approval for sex—the number of misguided ideas about marriage seem endless. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Jesus is both the creator of marriage and the one who makes healthy marriages possible. He takes broken men and women and turns them into selfless, sacrificial lovers and parents who experience joyful marriages through the power of the gospel.

Acts 29 North Atlantic

Acts 29 is a diverse, global network of church-planting churches.

The North Atlantic is a densely populated and widely diverse region extending from Virginia to Maine (VA, D.C., MD, DE, WV, PA, NJ, NY, CT, RI, MA, VT, NH, ME). It includes the capital of our country as well as the unofficial ‘capital of the world.’ The North Atlantic is where the gospel first reached America’s shores, but it's now statistically the least Christian region in the nation. This post-Christian context is reproducing many of the same challenges that arose after the collapse of Christendom in Europe. To see this trajectory reversed, the North Atlantic needs pastors and planters who lead their churches to preach the gospel faithfully in every city, from the massive boroughs of New York to the tiny hamlets of New England.
