This training examines the fundamentals that provide students the ability to skillfully conduct a meaningful job search. Your students will show a dramatic increase in their job search achievements when they are taught how to effectively align their search efforts with a strategic job search plan that focuses on preferred outcomes. Often overlooked resources and tools to strengthen your students’ job search efforts will be explored. Topics include Networking, SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats), contact tracking and job search techniques that allow your students to apply true and tested practices to maximize their job search prospects.
Advanced Job Search Strategies: The Actual Job Search - April 10, 2013 at 1:00pm ET

This presentation explores the operations phase of the job search. Ideas of the job search are converted into a tactical action plan. Successes are measured by invitations to the interview. Attendees are provided insight into the multitude of tasks that their students should carry out on a daily basis to secure interviews. Once the student has chosen a career path, selected an occupational title, completed their resume, identified potential employers, they are now ready to ‘knock on doors.’
