Restore Wildlife Habitat at Walden Ponds
Saturday, April 27, 2013 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Volunteers will plant cottonwood trees and willow poles to restore and improve wildlife habitat at Walden Ponds Wildlife Habitat. Here you can find some of the best bird-watching in the county. The trees and shrubs you plant will not only provide perches and homes for these creatures, but also improve the experience for trail users. Work will be moderately-strenuous, involving bending, digging, and carrying. The minimum age is 12 with adult supervision.
Thanks to Environment for the Americas for providing the funds to buy plant materials! This project runs from 8:00am-noon. For more information call Erica Christensen at 303-678-6329.
Please note that every volunteer under the age of 18 needs a waiver signed by a parent or guardian, and needs to be accompanied to the volunteer event by an adult.
