Restore sensitive ecosystems on May 19 (Lunch Provided!)
As part of the Colorado Weed Management Association’s “Pulling for Colorado” state-wide initiative, volunteers are needed to help remove Mediterranean sage. Statewide eradication of this A-list weed is possible, protecting prairie ecosystems and wildlife habitat. Volunteers will use shovels to remove this noxious weed in open spaces along the Hwy 36 corridor that are closed to the public. Lunch, fun, and beautiful scenery will be provided.
This project runs from 10:00am-3:00pm and the minimum age is 10 with adult supervision. For more information please contact Erica Christensen at 303-678-6329.
YOUTH POLICY: Please note that every volunteer under the age of 18 needs a waiver signed by a parent or guardian, and needs to be accompanied to the volunteer event by an adult.
