Using REST, OData and Entity Framework

Description:

REST based services and API’s has become the most commonly used interface for applications on the Internet. It is lightweight, interoperable and can be used by any application and any device. Learn how to build RESTful services using WCF and WCF Data Services, to provide powerful query and update capabilities using Open Data Protocol (OData). This session will also cover how to extend these services to the cloud using Azure Service Bus.

Johan lives in Stockholm where he works for the integration focused consultancy and services company Enfo Zystems. Johan has over 10 years of experience architecting and developing enterprise grade solutions based on Microsoft technologies. He engages with Microsoft through the Technology Advisory and Virtual Technology Solution Professional programs, and with the community as a Microsoft Certified Trainer, Microsoft Most Valuable Professional and co-founder of BizTalk User Group Sweden. He has authored several technical publications, most recently being lead author for the Microsoft BizTalk Server 2010 Certification Guide for Packt Publishing. Bio: Mikael Håkansson

Mikael Håkansson is employed by Enfo Zystems, and is currently engaged in the Integration Delivery Center to provide customers with a scalable and elastic offering of Microsoft BizTalk Servers and related technologies. He has a long-standing commitment to the community through contribution of free software and components, such as BizTalk SFTP Adapter and BizTalk Benchmark Wizard.

 Mikael works closely with Microsoft through the BizTalk User Group Sweden, successfully organizing and presenting at events. His commitment to the community has earned him the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Award, and he is also part of the Microsoft Technical Advisor program working closely with the BizTalk and CSD product teams for future releases of BizTalk and related products. Målet med BizTalk Usergroup Sweden är att genom en community driven insats öka förståelsen och kunskapen kring Microsofts produkter och lösningar inom integration, främst kring varumärket BizTalk och närliggande.

Information kommer att förmedlas främst genom presentationer och demo, genomförda av såväl frivilliga bland deltagarna själva som av speciellt inbjudna erkända svenska och internationella talare och experter. Det kommer även att finnas utrymme för andra typer av evenemang.

Målgruppen är individer med teknisk bakgrund eller intresse, såväl från linje som från konsultorganisationer, intresserade av systemintegration på Microsoft plattformen.
