Replays: Building, Designing, and Marketing Your Mobile App Workshop (Online Workshop)
So you're thinking about building a mobile app? Well, this is the right class for you. With these three livestreams, you will know the essentials of building a high quality, usable app.
The first class featured is How to Build a Mobile App: Whether you're a business person responsible for figuring out your mobile strategy or a developer tasked with implementing it, this class will help you to understand the various options for building a mobile web app or website and how to choose between them. "Website or application?", "jQuery mobile, jQ touch or Sencha touch?", "Titanium or PhoneGap?", "Generated or native?", "How many devices to support?" are just some of the questions we'll cover. If you need a mobile strategy, come to this class to jump start the process of figuring out how best to add a mobile component to your web presence.
The second class will be Deconstructing the iOS Interface Design: In the battle for mobile and tablet dominance, there is one fact that remains uncontested by friends and foes alike: Apple has the best design. Yet most of the 600,000+ iOS apps were not designed by Apple itself. Some third-party apps fall short of Apple's legacy, while some actually surpass Apple by pushing the limits of great interface design and creating new standards of their own. This begs the question, what makes a great iOS app great? What makes something look "Apple-y?" This class will discover the secrets of iOS design by examining the Apple iOS Human Interface Guidelines and critiquing the best (and worst) designed apps out there today.
The third livestream featured will be How to Market and Monetize Your App: Learn how to market and monetize your mobile apps so you can engage your users and generate revenue. You’ll learn how to compile and analyze user data to inform your marketing decisions, how to create different messaging strategies to facilitate ongoing communication between you and your customers, how to measure your marketing effectiveness, and how to prevent negative app reviews. Mark will also share customer success stories from Fortune 1000 companies and show you how you can utilize some of those same strategies for your apps.
