Renaissance Dining Out Together
Wednesday, October 22 at 6:30 PM
at Neighbor's Restaurant, 262D Cedar Lane Vienna, VA 22180, 703-698-8010
For our October Dining Out Together, we will explore the state of Islam in the United States. Our guide will be Ibrahim Mu'min, a community activist and citizen spokesperson from Washington, D.C. who was born into the Baptist faith in Columbus Georgia but converted to Islam. He was a follower of Louis Farrakhan in his early years but became disillusioned by the extremism he saw around him. He is a member of Masjid No.4 in DC which is affiliated with the more mainstream Islamic community led by Imam Warith Deen Mohammed, the son of Prophet Elijah Mohammed.
Neighbor's restaurant has both an American menu and a Persian menu. The Persian dishes are wonderful. We will have a separate room, as usual, and the restaurant will honor our separate check policy. Come and enjoy.
