Attorney Erick Kaardal, who will discuss four Minnesota lawsuits challenging the HHS requirement that business owners must provide employees with insurance coverage for contraception and abortion-inducing drugs.
- Greg Hall, a Catholic deacon in Houston, who owns American Manufacturing Company, based in St. Joseph, Minn. Hall will discuss his federal suit claiming the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ contraception mandate violates his religious freedom. American Manufacturing Company, which manufactures mining equipment, captured worldwide attention for its role in helping rescue 33 trapped Chilean miners in 2010.
- Professor Teresa Collett will moderate the discussion.
This course has been submitted for approval by the Minnesota State Board of Continuing Legal Education for 1.5 hours of standard continuing legal education.
