Nominating Committee Training – This is a must-do class for those on the Nominating Committee. Learn everything you need to know about how a NC operates and ways to find candidates. Presented by: Caroline Brown and Shelley Flores
Budgeting for Next Year – Now is the time to start thinking about your PTA’s budget for next year. In this class you will learn how to start planning for next year by looking at your current budget. Bring your current budget and a copy of “Money Matters” with you. Presented by: Shelby Winston and Kendall Taylor
Outgoing Officer Responsibilities and Successful Transitions – Even though we are only halfway through our school year now is the time to start planning your transitions. In this class you will learn about your responsibilities as outgoing officers and techniques for making it a smooth transition to next year’s board. Presented by: Toby Suhm and Kelly Silver
Outreach Roundtable – Talk with other PTA leaders to find out what they do for outreach in their communities and share your outreach programs with them. This is a great way to learn from one another. Facilitated by: Meg Dunwiddie and Sandy Dempsey
Communication/Technology Roundtable – This is a wonderful opportunity to share with and learn from others. The way PTAs communicate with their members is changing as technology becomes more prevalent in our lives. Come find out what other PTA units are doing. Facilitated by: Dawn Peschek and Kym Clayton
Navigate a Meeting – Do you wonder if your PTA meetings are being run properly? Do you need practice running “the perfect meeting”? Be an active part of this role play meeting to learn more about running a meeting following Robert’s Rules of Order. Presented by: Jane Dulski and Janine Kotan
Education Funding: What Every One of Us Can Do To Help With the Biggest Fundraiser Ever – As our school districts receive less money from the government our PTAs are being asked to contribute more. Learn what you can do to help your school districts with education funding. Presented by: Kelly Munn and Cathy Renner – this is a two part class and you must attend both parts.

Awards! Get Ready Now…It’s Not Too Late – The WSPTA Awards deadline is just around the corner (March 1). In this class you will learn about the variety awards that your PTA can apply for as well as tips on how to complete the applications. Presented by: Dawn Peschek and Jane Dulski
Financial Review – Every PTA must do at least one financial review each year. This class will guide you on preparing for your PTA’s financial review. Being prepared will make the process easier for everyone. Presented by: Shelby Winston and Shelley Flores
Elementary Roundtable – Do you have questions about events and programs in your elementary PTA? Do you have ideas that you want to share with others? This is the place to learn and share for your elementary PTA. Facilitated by: Alicia Veevaert and Kimberly Montague
Middle School Roundtable – Do you have questions about events and programs in your middle school PTA? Do you have ideas that you want to share with others? This is the place to learn and share for your middle school PTA. Facilitated by: Kelly Silver and Caroline Brown and Meg Dunwiddie
High School Roundtable – Do you have questions about events and programs in your high school PTA? Do you have ideas that you want to share with others? This is the place to learn and share for your high school PTA. Facilitated by: Kim Lisk and Toby Suhm
Standing Rules – This is a must-do class for every PTA. Standing Rules are what govern how your PTA operates and need to be reviewed every year. Bring yours with you to review as you learn what should and should not be in your Standing Rules. Presented by: Janine Kotan and Molly Schladetzky
