The award winning film Geto: The Historic Ghetto of Venice, narrated by the American mezzo-soprano opera star turned producer, Regina Resnik, first aired on PBS in 1983 and is newly restored and digitized for its 30th anniversary re-release. Resnik directed and produced the documentary with her late husband, Arbit Blatas. The Holocaust section has been augmented with Italian and German footage rarely, if ever, seen in the United States. Michael Philip Davis, Regina Resnik’s son, will present the visually and emotionally spellbinding documentary, which is scheduled to be aired by WNET/ Thirteen throughout this anniversary year. He will host a Q&A afterwards.
