Non-member attendees who purchase this ticket type will be required to pay the full rate at the door on the day of the workshop. Event Details

The USGBC’s LEED rating systems are continuously pushing the bar on innovative green building techniques. This education session will cover the emerging design methodology that buildings with integrated systems can repurpose, renew or revitalize their own sources of energy, water, air quality and materials in a pattern that benefits all life forms. This session will give the audience a glimpse of the future of LEED, green building and sustainability.


Zach_SharpeZach Sharpe, Climate Resilience Reporter, Sustainable Industries Solar Consultant, Luminalt Energy Corporation
Zach Sharpe is the lead climate resilience reporter for Sustainable Industries.com and a Solar Consultant at Luminalt Energy Corporation. An entrepreneur, climate change activist, and USGBC-NCC Sustainable Neighborhoods committee member, he works at the ground level to increase his community’s adaptive capacity. He is the author of the resilience chapter of the USGBC’s California Council of Experts’ white paper that will be given to California policy makers. He holds an MBA in Sustainable Business from the Presidio Graduate School, and a degree in Marketing from the University of Colorado.

Scott_WatkinsScott Watkins, LEED-ND, CNU-AManaging Partner, Buildaberg & Program Associate, ChangeLab Solutions
Scott Watkins is Managing Partner of integrated green building consultancy Buildaberg and a ChangeLab Solutions (formerly Public Health Law & Policy) staff member. In addition to his role leading Emerging Green Professionals within USGBC NCC’s Diablo Canyon East Bay Branch, Scott is a licensed California General Contractor, a LEED AP, and previously enforced building code, permits and zoning regulation for the City of Alameda. In all his capacities, Scott works to identify practical green building techniques that implement an integrated approach from design to operation. Scott is a graduate of San Diego State University with a degree in Public Administration, City Planning emphasis.

Amanda_GoldbergAmanda Goldberg, LEED AP ID+C, Regenerative Design Consultant

Amanda Goldberg, LEED-AP ID+C is a regenerative design consultant with a focus on helping clients design spaces, products and systems to be truly sustainable and regenerative. Amanda shares a passion and drive for designing spaces and regenerative products that society can live and interact with in harmony with the planet. Amanda’s work includes; how environments shape behavior, Feng Shui, and the Psychology of how interior spaces can evolve to become personalized nature vs. nurture environments. Amanda holds a masters degree from Cal Poly Pomona in Regenerative Design and an undergraduate degree in Industrial Design from Syracuse University.
