Mission Statement

Many controversial changes have been made to the American healthcare system over the last few years, with more currently being debated in Congress.

It is imperative we stay up-to-date on these important issues. This is why Temple University School of Medicine, with the help of the Pennsylvania chapter of the American College of Physicians, has decided to organize and promote a health policy symposium for the third year in a row. The symposium will strive to present current legislation in an unbiased and informative manner to our fellow medical students, healthcare professional students, residents, attending physicians, and other healthcare workers.

Our goal is to emphasize the importance of being informed and advocating for change, as these laws will directly affect the way we both practice medicine and care for our patients. We plan to do this through a half-day educational symposium featuring multiple leaders in the field of health policy, as well as an open discussion regarding these impending changes.
