Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra Music Director Wes Kenney picks up the baton as guest conductor for Reformations. The evening begins with Toccata and Fugue, a piece Stokowski “reformed” from Bach’s organ piece into a large orchestral work. Peter Sommer heats up the night on alto sax with Duke Ellington’s jazzy orchestral piece, Three Black Kings, and a selection from John Williams’ score for Catch Me If You Can. The concert concludes with the title work, Mendelssohn’s grand Symphony No. 5 “Reformation,” which was written honor of Martin Luther and the Protestant Reformation.

Jazzify your night with a pre-concert happy hour! Join us at our neighbor for delicious discounted drinks and eats at the “best happy hour to get your groove on.” DPO patrons will enjoy the for an extended hour in Dazzle’s Showroom. Dazzle is a 10–15 minute-walk to KPOF Hall.

Honk! Buzz! Toot! Before the concert, learn about the different orchestra instruments. Pick up a trombone or a violin and give it a go!

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
We scan tickets at the door, which really helps to help speed the entry process along. Bringing one of the following is strongly encouraged:
- Your printed ticket(s) (remember it's an attachedment to the email confirmation you receive)
- Your ticket(s) on your portable electronic device (cell phone, tablet, etc.)
- Your ticket(s) barecde on the Eventbrite app (try it, it's pretty nifty!)
If you forget your ticket in one of these three forms, don't panic! We can look you up the old fashioned way -- by finding your name on our list.
Is my ticket transferrable?
If you are unable to attend this concert, we'd be happy to exchange your tickets for a future 2014-2015 concert. Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll email you the exchange tickets.
