Event Details

2013 ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting Satellite Symposium

In the health-system pharmacy setting, reduction of interruptions and distractions (I&D’s) represents a significant opportunity for improving pharmacy order fulfillment workflow, reducing the potential for error, enhancing job satisfaction, and saving staff time.   This educational seminar reviews the prevalence and causes of I&D’s, including missing doses; one institution’s approach to reducing I&D’s, including dose tracking; and how the time saved can be redirected to clinically-oriented services.
