Transforming Caregiver Fatigue into Resiliency and Healing

A full day dedicated to cultivating compassion, connecting with calling, and caring for the care giver.

CONFERENCE SCHEDULE

Morning

7 a.m. - 8 a.m.: Registration and Continental Breakfast
Location: Conference Center Hallway

8 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.: Welcome – Nicole Hopewell
Keynote Speaker: Deb Center, MSN, RN, CNS, Coach-CTA
Location: Conference Center A-D

Lunch
11:30 a.m. -12:30pm p.m.
Enjoy a healthy lunch specially prepared by our chef. Eat indoors or outside if weather permits.

Afternoon
Part 1:
Break Out Sessions: 12:30 p.m. - 3:15 p.m.
∙ Pre-registered through Event Brite
∙ Each participant may sign up for 3 sessions.
∙ Each session will be offered twice.
Breakout Session 1: 12:30 p.m. - 1:15 p.m.
Breakout Session 2: 1:30 p.m. - 2:15 p.m.
Breakout Session 3: 2:30 p.m. - 3:15 p.m.
Part 2:
Closing Session & Raffle: 3:30-4:15 p.m.
Topic: Time to CARE: Compassionate Action for Resilience Everyday
Speaker: Deb Center, MSN, RN, CNS

Breakout Session Descriptions:

  • Tai Chi - Although it was originally a form of self-defense, Tai Chi has evolved into a more gentle, graceful form of exercise that can be used for stress reduction and other health conditions. Tai Chi encourages calmness through the use of gentle movements linked together, and is a type of meditative mind-body practice.
  • Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction –introduction to MBSR using meditation to cultivate awareness and reduce stress
  • Healing Herbs & Teas –Learn about natural herbs that enhance relaxation and improve health in a hands-on format, crafting unique herbal blends with a professional herbologist.
  • Laughter Yoga – a way to reconnect with part of our brain in finding levity and humor in every day experiences
  • Traditional Yoga – introductory yoga for all levels
  • Healing Touch - Healing Touch is an energy therapy in which practitioners consciously use their hands in a heart-centered and intentional way to support and facilitate physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. Healing Touch is gentle, effective, and easy to learn for anyone in the healthcare field.
