Event Details

Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work® Day has inspired a future generation of girls and boys by helping bring them into the workplace to explore the many life choices they have.

Let’s Move! is a comprehensive initiative, launched by the First Lady, dedicated to solving the challenge of childhood obesity within a generation, so that children born today will grow up healthier and able to pursue their dreams.

In honor of Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work® Day & Let's Move Initiative, Reclamation employees are encouraged to invite their daughters, sons, relatives, friends, and other sponsored girls and boys age 6 and older to attend.  The children will participate in interactive learning activities that will inspire them to consider science, technology, engineering or math careers.   Registering for a ticket for each child is required.

AGENDA

Check-in begins at 9:00 a.m. in the Hungry Horse Room. Parents are encouraged to accompany their children, but unaccompanied children MUST be picked up by 11:30 a.m.

DREA will sell ice cream in the cafeteria for $1 per scoop for kids until 1:30 pm.

Please note, the hydraulics lab is a working laboratory and not a conventional office setting. The sponsored activity will involve walking and traversing stairs will be required to see those stations involving the hydraulic models. The concrete break will be loud. In a working laboratory, there may be water on the ground and possible slip/trip hazards; close-toed shoes are recommended.  For individuals who cannot or do not feel comfortable with stairs, there is limited viewing from the catwalk area, and some of the stations will have easy ADA access.
