Join us Saturday April 16, 2011 for the spring edition of the Reciprocity Live! open stage event featuring cultural art innovators in performing and visual arts. In honor of April being Poetry Month, Reciprocity Live! brings you an evening exploring poetry through the various genres of the arts. The doors open at 9pm with the Dj spinning the hits, while a visual feast is projected on the big screen in the theatre with the provactive images of Black life in the photography of special guest Saddi Khali and film shorts/doc's by world traveller LaDonna Castro. Performances begin at 10 pm with featured band Melody Memory blessing the house with live music; Exhibit Dance Collective will exemplify poetry-in-motion with a piece from their upcoming Fela-inspired dance project; and Iv Amenti opens the stage guided by the poetry, song, and movement that lands in her spirit.

When & Where
Reciprocity was founded in 1997 by Tisha Crear and Emmanuel Gillespie in a small shop on Tyler street in Oak Cliff, Texas. Reciprocity helped fuel Dallas' Black Arts and Culture scene and continues to contribute to the world stage with cultural events and community development projects.
