Rebuild and Rock III - ( 5/1/09 - 5/3/09 ) A group volunteer event serving New Orleans Habitat for Humanity.

Requirements: All volunteers must be 21yrs old at time of event.
Thursday, April 30th: Volunteers arrive in New Orleans.
Friday, May 1st: Habitat for Humanity Build Day 8AM - 3PM
Spend one day volunteering/constructing a home for a New Orleans family that lost theirs to Hurricane Katrina. No prior construction skills are necessary! All training and safety classes will be covered on site. You can participate at what ever level and pace you desire. More info at: NOLA Habitat
Friday evening: All participants are invited to enjoy a free traditional New Orleans crawfish boil in downtown New Orleans. (Time and exact location TBA)
Saturday May 2nd- New Orleans culture day
Explore the city and/or attend Jazz Fest . Tickets available for purchase online.
Sunday, May 3rd – Return home
Bus to Atlanta to leave at 11:00 AM
Van to New Orleans Airport to Leave at 11:00AM
(Please book flight accordingly or plan your own transportation)
If you are leaving from Atlanta, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS GET ON THE BUS!
All accommodations, transportation and food will be provided!
First come first serve until seats on bus are filled.
The motor coach bus will depart from a downtown Atlanta location (TBA) at 6:30PM on Thursday, April 30th.
The bus will return to Atlanta Sunday evening May 3rd.
If you are departing from elsewhere all you have to do is get to New Orleans International Airport. All other accommodations, transportation and food will be provided. First come first serve until seats on van are are filled.
Details on airport pick up to be arranged once you have made your reservation.
Food and Accommodations: (free until designated funds run out)
Camp Hope is a converted school that is used as basic housing for volunteers. Camp Hope provides a place to sleep, recreation space, wireless internet, meeting space, and 2 hot meals and a bag lunch. More info at: Camp Hope
