Full-throttle soul screamer: BARRENCE WHITFIELD backed by The A-Bones
In the spirit of Little Richard, Wilson Pickett and Solomon Burke. He has been described as the owner of one incredible pair of lungs, with limitless energy and unmatched enthusiasm for his music and his audience. Barrence is a rarity in this business–one of a few black, rock n roll singer/entertainers who Spin Magazine says maintains a frenzied performance.
Whitfield is a performer so consumed with satisfying his audiences that he has been called ‘crazed, frenetic and completely unhinged.’ Barrence, the singer made up of equal parts Arthur Alexander, Nolan Porter and James Carr this mofo burns.
Brooklyn's favorites: The A-BONES Bashing out garage rock years before it was fashionable and rockabilly-influenced sounds as if the Stray Cats had never happened, the A-Bones are a Brooklyn-based five-piece that approached the sloppy greatness of rock & roll's past with a beer-addled enthusiasm that had nothing to do with "oldies" or "nostalgia" and everything to do with the primal impulse to play music that's fast, loud, and wild. the A-Bones kicked off their career in 1984 and are still rocking!
NY rockabilly legends: ROCKABILLY X One of our favorite rockabilly bands around, Rockabilly X puts on a killer show every time with their original sound and rockin' stage performance. Fronted by Barry Ryan of The Rockats.
Surf complete with go-go dancers: THE CLAMS Straight from the beach party of your dreams, The Clams bring the driving sound of 1960s. This 3 piece group dishes up instrumental tastey surf classics, Twangy TV and movie themes and original music that sounds halfway between surf music and TV / movie themes.
