Snow day? School delay? Strong winds knocking out your power?
The weather affects your life in many more ways than you can imagine, and knowing ahead of time with great accuracy what will happen outside is actually much easier than you may think!
Come join Jacob Meisel, a specialized high-school regional weather forecaster, in learning how you can forecast both short term and long term weather, from individual snow storms a few days off to what weather patterns make severe storms more likely in the coming weeks and months. Impress your friends with your accurate school delay and closing predictions. Make your own forecasts, and try your hand at making money by using this new skill to attract donations and advertising dollars on any mediums you use to display your predictions. In specialized classes, you will learn how to understand the weather around us by both looking outside at cloud structures/weather instruments for short term forecasting and looking online at the various weather computer models that the experts use to forecast medium and long term weather around the world.
This class consists of 4 sessions: Thursdays May 16th, 23rd, 30th and June 6th at 6:30pm at The Eastern Greenwich Civic Center
