The Teresa and Daran Rehmeyer Project
Baton Rouge natives, Teresa and Daran Rehmeyer, need a replacement bus to transport patients to distant medical facilities in Swaziland. They have been serving since 2005.
This 2013 event, "Reaching Out For A Cause" promises to be the best yet, including performances by all levels of local talent-- from student groups to nationally and internationally recognized performers who live in and near the Baton Rouge area.
The concert will feature performances by Unkyoung Kim, violinist, Jennifer Cassin, violist and Chinese pipa player Amelia Xue, under the direction of Daniel Cassin, as well as the Runnels School String Orchestra, directed by Jennifer Cassin. The program will also include international music selections and ethnic dancing groups will perform, making this a culturally diverse event that will be both educational and entertaining.
We will have the honor of Donna Britt, from Channel 9, as our Mistress of Ceremonies for this event.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for students. The Baton Rouge Chapter of the Links and the Baton Rouge Center for World Affairs are also helping sponsor this event.
