With 90 years of experience in direct service and training programs, Ramapo has developed a unique ability to create inclusive environments that promote positive behavioral change, foster skill development, and help support learning and personal growth. At the heart of the Ramapo approach is our ability to equip educators, caregivers, and youth with the skills they need to build trusting relationships, serve as effective role models, handle challenging behaviors constructively, and improve continuously through reflective practice.
Our programs include:
--Camp Ramapo, a traditional summer camp experience for children with social, emotional, or learning challenges
--Ramapo Training, programming for adults that provides practical tools for managing difficult behaviors and fostering environments that support success for all children
--Ramapo Retreats, year-round retreats for young people, educators, and other community-based organizations
--Staff Assistant Experience, a residential transition-to-independence program for young adults with social, emotional, or learning challenges
