Raising Kids Without Sexual Shame. Facilitated Discussion
Seattle, United States
A discussion group on how to talk about sex and sexuality with kids and young adults. If you are interested in a world without sexual shame, where children talk to their parents about the changes in their bodies and sexual topics instead of looking to the media for their sex education, then come be a part of this this discussion group. Monthly topics vary based on attendee needs, so bring your questions for the discussion. The discussion is facilitated by Nekole Shapiro of Embodied Birth and Allena Gabosch, the director of the Center for Sex Positive Culture.

Claire Cavanah and Rachel Venning opened the first Babeland store in 1993 in response to the lack of women-friendly sex shops in Seattle. The store offered top quality products, a pleasant place to shop, and most of all information and encouragement to women who wanted to explore their sexuality. The store's popularity with both women and men has led to three more stores in New York, plus a thriving and educational website.
We host workshops and events almost every week. Stop by for one of our Moms events, Art Walk nights, Babeland Brunches or one of our many popular sex education classes.
