A Biblically based conference, Radiant 2013 desires to teach, equip, and strengthen women at every stage of their faith journey. Quality Bible teaching addresses a variety of issues facing women today, and presents a clear Christ-centered Gospel message. The low conference price makes it accessible for women of all ages and provides an opportunity to invite neighbors and friends.

This year's theme:

Finding Freedom in Forgiveness

The stories of our lives include many painful encounters. Our tender spirits have been bruised and torn by the ugliness of others’ sins, often keeping us locked in our own prison of hurt and anger. The Bible offers the key to release us from the effect of these sins. Come to Radiant 2013 and learn how to find freedom in forgiveness.

Guest Speaker - Tammie Arreguin: Tammie serves as the women’s ministry director at CrossPointe Lake Nona.  She and her husband Art were missionaries in Bosnia with Pioneers for 8 years and moved to Orlando to continue to minister in Pioneers USA.  She loves being the mom of Larissa (24) and Lucas (16.)  For over a decade, she has devoted her time to the development of women in leadership and discipling women to go deep in their relationship with God.

Guest Speaker Arlene Richardson: is a missionary with Pioneers. While on mission to the primarily-Muslim Sundanese in Indonesia, she founded HeartCraft, which employed about 300 Sundanese, exposing them to the gospel while teaching them to sew exquisite quilts and other crafts. Currently, Arlene and husband Steve reside in Orlando, where Steve serves as President of Pioneers USA and Arlene represents the HeartCraft ministry. You can read more about Arlene’s story and HeartCraft ministry in her book entitled Threads. Arlene and Steve have four daughters.

Latitudes: Latitudes is a business that sells products with a purpose (formerly known as HeartCraft).  It is our goal to get uniquely crafted products into the hands of people all over the world so that together we can support isolated and marginalized groups like women in Indonesia, girls in Cambodia, or even a deaf community in Kenya. At Latitudes we use small business as ministry teams to help spread the message of God's love in a tangible way by meeting the spiritual as well as physical needs of a community.  It is our hope that the lives of the artisans are eternally changed and that these teams can grow and reproduce as we continue selling handicrafts. For more information check out www.28degrees.org

Samaritan Village: Located in Orlando, Samaritan Village is a Christ-centered transitional program for women desiring freedom from chemical dependency and sexual exploitation. Through solid Biblical teaching, women learn who they truly are at the core (the true self), what they are wired for, and how they can live wholly, productively and successfully in society. At Samaritan Village, we believe that not only will the lives of Samaritan women be transformed, but their families and communities will be changed as well. The cycle of addiction, sex trafficking, violence and despair must end. This is where it stops.

Breakout Sessions

  • MentoringOlder Women Investing in Younger Women (Terri Amos): Every woman is older than someone so this seminar is for everyone! You will walk away with secrets to successful mentoring relationships, a better understanding of Biblical mentoring, increased confidence to pursue younger women in your world and motivation to find a mentor for your own life.

  • Choosing Joy (Kelly Chesnut): We all face challenges - to varying degrees - throughout our lives, and there are times when we need encouragement and reminders that not only are we not alone, but that a change in perspective can very often (if not always) mean a change in how we live our lives. Cultivating a heart of thankfulness and trusting God is the pathway to choosing joy.

  • Unlocking the Mystery of the Will of God for My Life (Sonja Gross): Have you ever wondered if God has a will and a plan for your life?  If so, how do you find out what that will is?  Have you ever been waiting for God to show you his will and you got frustrated because he didn't seem to answer?  How should you determine what career to choose or what man to marry?  In this seminar you will learn about the will of God and how to properly integrate the Bible's instruction into your decision making process.

  • Hannah: Lessons on God's Sustaining Grace (Pam Putman): All of us encounter difficult, even heartbreaking, situations in life.  Hannah learns to face the challenges of her life with a focus on God's grace that teaches us how to find the joy of the Lord as our strength.

  • Trusting God Through Suffering (Kristin Woodard): Can you trust God?  Can you trust Him when it seems He has turned your world upside down?  Kristin will speak from her experience with cancer, but this is for everyone who has struggled with God when times aren't so good.  What then?  Is God trustworthy?  Is He good?  Why would he bring suffering?  Learn how to work with God through the hard times to bring good into your life.  There is good in the suffering!  Come hear about it.
  • The Magnificence of God's Word (Leanne Moody)People often talk about what the Word of God means, but have you ever looked at what the Word of God says about itself? Join us as we take a journey of discovery through the scriptures to find out how God views His word and how we should respond.

  • Where Did the Bible Come From? (Cece Wong): The Bible is the foundation of our faith and knowledge, but how certain are you of its accuracy? Come to this session to find out more about the history of the Scriptures including who decided which books should be contained in the Bible and how we can be sure of its reliability and trustworthiness.
