Please join us to share in our pride as Rabbi Aaron Miller is installed as Associate Rabbi!

Our Congregation welcomed Rabbi Aaron Miller in July 2011 as our new Assistant Rabbi. Full
of enthusiasm and dedication to the ideals of Reform Judaism, Rabbi Miller joined our WHC
family, and over the past three years, has made substantial contributions to our community.

Working with our youth, caring for our congregants, and participating in all facets of Temple life, he has gained extraordinary experience and his rabbinate has grown and matured. Rabbi Miller’s leadership of our young Jewish professionals auxiliary, 2239, has gained national recognition, and he has truly made a difference in enhancing the Jewish community in the District of Columbia.

Shabbat dinner to follow installtion.

2239 dinner cost is $15, generously subsidized by a donation from Washington Hebrew Congregation.

With a growing network of over 2,600 people, 2239 is a fantastic way for young Jewish adults between the ages of 22 and 39 to meet one another and deepen their Jewish identity.

Whatever you're looking for, 2239 has it all. Looking for Shabbat? Our monthly Metro Minyan Shabbat community meets on the 4th Friday of every month at different Metro-accessible locations throughout the D.C. area.

Looking for opportunities to give back? With the help of the TOV Fund, 2239 engages in cutting-edge social action projects in Washington, D.C. and around the country to lend a hand to people and communities in need.

Looking for a social outlet? Happy hours, Nationals games, wine tasting trips, and other social events are fantastic opportunities to meet new people and have a great time. Our annual Purim Ball and 2239 Passover Seder are fun, inclusive, and enriching opportunities to celebrate holidays with D.C.'s young Jewish community.

Whether you've been in the D.C. area for years or are just arriving, we're excited to help you find your Jewish community.
