Preserve the freshness and liveliness of summer flavors by canning. Join special guest, Philadelphia-based canning teacher, blogger and cookbook author Marisa McClellan. She’ll guide you through the basics of jam-making, quick-pickling, and boiling-water-bath canning. She’ll include information on food safety, best canning practices, recommendations on how to store your newly canned goods, and more. You'll prepare Tomato Jam and Dilly Beans, and will take home several small jars of both, as well as a signed copy of her book “Preserving by the Pint” (a $25 retail value).
