Please join us for this informal question and answer session where we will have the opportunity to hear from Dr. Jeff Kraakevik, MD, Assistant Professor of Neurology and movement disorder specialist with the Parkinson Center of Oregon at OHSU.
Dr. Kraakevik will be in Central Oregon to talk to physicians in the early morning and we are happy to announce that he has added a special chance for people with Parkinson's, carepartners, and family members to hear him speak before he heads back West. Bio for Dr. Jeff Kraakevik:
Dr. Kraakevik earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa and his fellowship in the Movement Disorders from Oregon Health and Science University (2004-2006).
He joined the OHSU movement disorders faculty in 2006 and is currently an Assistant Professor of Neurology. Dr. Kraakevik holds the unique distinction of being a former high school teacher. He has followed this trajectory of educator and currently heads up the development of medical student and resident education for the OHSU department of Neurology and VA Medical Center where he holds a joint appointment.
Dr. Kraakevik's research interests include gait and balance problems of Parkinson's disease as well as research that explores the best teaching practices in medical education.
