Queen Elizabeth Children's Home (Weekly)

We will meet the bus at Charter Hall at 2:45 p.m. (bus leaves at 3), and return by 5.

Please note that there are specific rules for volunteering at Queen Elizabeth, and they must be strictly adhered to:

• No shorts, tank tops, halter backs, or revealing clothing.
• Report to the office once you enter.
• Greet members of staff on duty.
• Address management with "Ms." titles, since we are teaching children how to address elders in authority.
• You cannot go into the office, pantry, laundry room, garden or storeroom.
• You need permission from the staff or cook before netering the kitchen.
• You cannot use staff's rooms without permission.
• Volunteers should be respectable at all times, including the use of inappropriate language.
• You cannot take children off the property without permission from management or staff.
• Don't sit on tables.
• If a discipline issues arise, seek out a staff member.
• All misconduct must be reported.
• Do not follow instructions from the children. Any instructions should be verified with staff.
• Children must be instructed to clean up after all activities.
• Don't allow children to use personal items you bring, like iPhones, etc.
• Do not give candy to children without permission from staff.
• Do not take pictures.
