The workshop will start indoors with a presentation about Burmese pythons in Florida, regulations for this species, how to identify and detect invasive reptiles and report sightings. Participants that expect to capture and transport live Burmese pythons will also fill out a python removal permit application at the workshop. Afterwards participants will head outdoors for a demonstration and practice catching wild-caught nonnative snakes. Workshop participants must wear long pants and closed-toe shoes for the hands-on capture portion of the training.
