Event Details

We value your perspective.

That is why we’d like to invite you to participate in a focus group for a new program we’re launching at Grace Family Church called Purpose. On Monday, January 13 from 6:45-8:45pm, focus group attendees will become Purpose program participants and experience the program flow, engage with the Purpose facilitators, and provide feedback on what we can do to make this ministry more effective. This session will be hosted in the Youth Center at our Van Dyke campus, and coffee and light refreshments will be served.

So, what is Purpose anyway? Well, here’s some more information on the Purpose ministry:

Got Purpose?
Has it been a long time since you’ve defined your work as “satisfying and engaging?” Have a suspicion that God has equipped you to do something different than your current career, but you are not even sure where to start? Out of work and interested in finding the right job for you and your talents? If you answered yes to any of those questions then Grace Family Church’s Stewardship Ministry would like to invite you to Purpose.

What is it?
Purpose is GFC’s new career ministry. Our vision is that all people know their purpose and are empowered to live it. Our mission is to inspire people to grow in their talents and equip them with practical tools to achieve God’s purpose for their lives. Whether unemployed, underemployed, employed but missing satisfaction and fulfillment in their work, Purpose participants will benefit from a host of guest speakers who will cover topics like adjusting your attitude, discovering your God-given talents, networking, resume writing and interviewing skills, evaluating offers and much, much more.

Please lend us your expertise by participating in our Focus Group session on Monday, January 13, 2014 from 6:45pm-8:45pm in the Youth Center of our Van Dyke campus.

Purpose Career Ministry

"Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls"
- Jeremiah 6:16

Grace Family Church's Purpose Career Ministry teaches a 7-step, faith based process that helps people hear and follow God's calling, as they explore careers and search for the right job.  We are members of the Crosssroads Career Network and our vision is for all people to know their purpose and are empowered to live it.

This ministry is for all people, male & female, single or married, 16 years and older in the Tampa Bay community who want to know and live God's purpose. This ministry is for you if you are:
- Unemployed searching for the right job
- Misemployed sorting what to do next
- Happily employed seeking God's plan

Our mission is to inspire people to grow in their talents and equip them with practical tools to achieve God's purpose for their lives. Key subjects are taught by lay ministry leaders using the Crossroads Career Network workbook in a small group, discipleship led with bible based, care-crafted and practical processes. The Purpose ministry will help you learn how to:
- Discover new and different abilities, interests, values and passion
- Find new and different work where your strengths bring greater value
- Draw nearer to God as you seek to find what He has prepared for you

We meet at the Grace Family Church Youth Center - Van Dyke campus on Mondays, 6:45 - 8:45 PM year-round. Encouraging, caring and supportive relationships are developed through networking with participants, speakers and leaders.

"Therefore be careful how you walk, not as an unwise man but as wise, making the most of your time"
- Ephesians 5:15-16
