Puppet Labs Hackathon at Stanford University for Stanford Students and Faculty
Friday, March 30, 2012 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (PDT)
Puppet Labs (http://www.puppetlabs.com) and Stanford IT Services is hosting this event on Stanford campus Redwood Hall G19 for Stanford students and faculty, all others please contact the host. This single day workshop will focus on solving interesting configuration management problems with Puppet. Puppet labs will provide an overview on puppet, modules development, rspec-puppet unit testing, and travis.ci integration testing. They can also provide assistance with projects related to native types, providers, bugs fix, and custom facts or functions. If there is interest and time, there could be "lightning talks" at the end.
Bring your laptop! There is limited power available in the room, so please bring a power strip with a long cord if you have one available.
Parking is permitted or paid only. There is hourly/daily parking available in Parking Structure 5, or occasionally in Parking Structure 2.
Some special event permits that are valid for only the roof of Parking Structure 5 are available. Attendees who wish to use them will need to pick one up prior to driving to the roof of Parking Structure 5 and scratching the day+month+year off of the permit. Failure to have a parking permit or pay the hourly/daily parking will result in a parking ticket.
