About Punit Renjen
Punit Renjen is chairman and chief executive officer of Deloitte Consulting LLP, the United States consulting business within Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu’s global consultancy. Deloitte’s U.S. consulting business represents nearly two-thirds of the global consulting and advisory revenue, which exceeded $6.5 billion in 2009.
Renjen, who has more than 23 years of experience with Deloitte Consulting, was elected chairman and CEO in October 2009. Previously, he served as the global and U.S. leader of Deloitte’s Strategy & Operations practice, which has maintained a double-digit share of the global market for strategy advisory work and is consistently ranked among the top firms in the profession.
Prior to that, Renjen led Deloitte Consulting’s Merger & Acquisitions Services, assisting clients through the entire M&A lifecycle. Renjen has been involved in many M&A engagements – including iconic deals -- helping clients expand into new markets, create new profit streams, and generate cost reductions and savings synergies.
Renjen was named one of Consulting magazine’s “Top 25 Most Influential Consultants” in 2007. He has co-authored articles on M&A in Chief Executive magazine and The Journal of Business Strategy, and has participated in interviews with The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, CFO Magazine and Bloomberg Business News.
He holds a bachelor’s degree with honors and a master’s degree in management with honors.
Renjen currently serves on the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu board of directors, and the Global Deloitte Consulting Executive Committee. He is also a member of the board of trustees of Willamette University.
He and his family reside in Portland, Oregon.
