Please join us for a day of excitement and escapades at Pumpkinville in Toano, VA. Our day will feature hay rides, pumpkin patch, yard games, face painting, and bounce house. Please bring your own bagged lunch. Space will be limited with openings for up to 200 people. Pre-registration is required.
FIRST 50 admissions are FREE, this is first come first serve. Cost is $5.00 per child.Parents/Caregivers will receive FREE admission. Adult individuals living with disabilities that wish to participate in pumpkin picking, hay ride, and/or lawn games will need to pay $5.00. Caregivers/companions are FREE. Additional admissions are $5.00 per child and/or adults with disabilities.
Bounce house is an additional $1.00/per person per turn. Bounce house tickets must be purchased separately and are not included in FREE admission ticket or regular admission ticket.
Registration period: August 1-September 19, 2016.
In the event of rain or inclement weather, our event will be rescheduled to Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016. We will send out notices if event needs to be rescheduled.

Please be mindful of our event policies! Parents/Caregivers are expected to attend ALL EP events for the entire duration of the event with their children/individuals. If you are an adult individual that requires assistance (with walking, eating, tolieting, etc.) you must bring a companion/caretaker with you as a volunteer cannot assist you with these tasks. We kindly ask that parents/caregivers please make sure you are supervising and participating in events and activities with your children/individuals. These events are intended to encourage family engagement. To ensure the safety and wellbeing of others-Unsafe or inappropriate behaviors or lack of supervision may result in a family being asked to leave an event. We appreciate your cooperation with our rules and policies.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
No ID required! Just bring your ticket. Each person attending will need to register and obtain a ticket. All ages welcome! All children MUST be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the event. Adult individuals are welcome to attend, but if they require support or assistance, a caregiver should attend with them. Enrollment packets must be completed and received prior to attending this Essential Pieces event.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Currently we do not offer transportation to Essential Pieces Events. However, we recommend accessing public transportation, such as the bus or paratransit at: http://www.gohrt.com/services/paratransit/paratransit-eligibility/
You may park anywhere in the parking lot, except reserved spots. Please do not park in accessible parking unless you have a valid placard.
You will enter Pumpkinville via the main entrance. All activities are held outdoors and require lots of walking, so be sure to wear comfy shoes! There are two port-a-potties available if needed. One is accessible.
Upon entering Pumpkinville, please check in at the Essential Pieces check in booth. Please provide your ticket for all individuals attending the event. Please be sure to request a ticket for all attendees. Each person must present their own ticket. Additionally, please ensure that you have completed all enrollment paperwork for each person attending for the 2016 year.
Inclement weather notifications:
In the event of inclement weather, this essential pieces workshop may be cancelled. Please check our Facebook page via: Essential Pieces Tidewater to check for such notices. Cancellations will be decided no later than 12 noon on the day of this event. Rain date for this event will be Saturday, October 1, 2016.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Please bring your own bagged lunch and drinks with you if you need refreshment/meals during the field trip. There are some items available for purchase. There will be a designated area for eating.
We recommend that if you are participating in events, you wear clothing/shoes that are appropriate for recreation, such as tennis shoes. All activities will be offered outside.

What if I need to cancel my registration?
You may cancel your ticket via your Eventbrite registration. We kindly ask that if you cannot attend this Essential Pieces Tidewater event, that you please cancel your ticket within 48hrs of the event. This will allow others to attend this event in your place. Failure to cancel your registration, will result in a no show status. Two no-show status incidents may result in your inability to participate in future Essential Pieces Tidewater Community Adventures events.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes. You will need a ticket for each person attending.
What is the cost of this event.
Signing up for this Essential Pieces event is FREE, however, attendees are reponsible for paying their own admission tickets. Please bring CASH, exact change- checks WILL NOT be accepted.
Pricing is as follows:
First 50- FREE (must be enrolled in EP-Enrollment paperwork must be filled out & submitted prior to event for FREE admission, up to 3 FREE admisssions per family)
Child Admission- $5.00
Adult individual living with disabilities wishing to participate in activities: $5.00
Bounce House: $1.00 per person, per turn (not included in FREE admission or regular ticket price)
